Frequently asked questions
How are your workers selected?
Our workers are selected based on your hiring criteria. We conduct face-to-face interviews in Mexico or Guatemala.
What is the minimum duration of a contract?
Although there is no minimum contract duration, a period of 4 months is recommended to encourage workers to return.
Do the same workers come back year after year?
Indeed, once you have selected a worker, they become a dedicated resource for your company. You will therefore have priority for their employment in future seasons. Initial training and integration usually occur in the first year, making subsequent years easier. However, our support for integration continues each year, ensuring a smooth transition and a lasting work relationship. Moreover, it is not uncommon for our workers to maintain long-term professional relationships with their employers, some lasting over 10 years.
What is the maximum duration of a seasonal contract?
Typically, the seasonal exemption from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) limits contract duration to 9 months annually. However, there are ways to extend this duration: Through programs like streamlined processing, which can offer exemptions based on the National Occupational Classification (NOC). By calculating the 20% limit of foreign employees within your company, which could also allow for a longer-term contract approval.
What is the limit of foreign workers that can be hired by an employer in Canada?
The limit of foreign workers an employer can hire varies based on several factors, including the nature of the position. Take the example of a landscape worker: normally, an employer can have up to 20% of their workforce composed of Temporary Foreign Workers (TFW). However, there is a seasonal exception allowing the employer, once a year, to submit a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application for an unlimited number of foreign workers for seasonal positions. Additionally, for certain trades that are part of streamlined processing programs or for high-wage positions, there is no imposed limit on the number of foreign workers that can be hired.
